About me
Hi there, welcome
I'm Amy. I am a PKP ™ Kinesiopractor, ICPKP Faculty Member, Teacher & Mentor
I am also an ex provisional psychologist and trauma specialist.
Underneath the titles, career, qualifications I am simply a woman navigating life, loving connection, fulfilment, and the simple joys in daily life.
Prior to Kinesiology, I studied Psychology for 8 years. I was working in a field of 16 hour days most of the time and I was writing a research thesis. I was also experiencing chronic migraines for 21 days straight. I had linked in with specialists, neurologists, having every test under the sun.
A colleague mentioned Kinesiology helping her with her back pain and being from something when she was a teenager... I was so intrigued.
I googled Kinesiology, with no clue what it was, it looked like physiotherapy and tape. I had a session thinking it was massage or something similar.
Those first 15 minutes, establishing the goal, finding the emotion I was blown away. The relief I felt instantly in my shoulders. Those techniques, that room, those conversations that day changed my life.
I was then relieved to have found something that worked, something that would support me to feel fulfilled in my career.
I was interested in Kinesiology but I thought I was just intrigued because this Kinesiologist was so incredible.
Fast forward 4 years of regular Kinesiology sessions I finally admitted the truth to myself and I enquired about more information.
My first class, I knew I would study all the diplomas end up teaching one day, and here we are.
I built my business and then had the most random feeling, asking my partner Luke if he was on board if we bought a house in Queensland, in this coastal town I searched on the map, in an area we had never been to.
Within 6 weeks we packed up our life and trusted the calling.
It has been a journey in the most beautiful way, building my Kinesiology business here, working with such incredible clients, expanding, growing and transforming with this.
I am so excited to support you in this journey, to support your growth, to witness your curiosity, and to bring heart led future practitioners together.
Thank-you for being here, reading this page right now
With love,
Amy
